Washington Huskies Shine Amidst Rebuild
The Huskies went 6-6 with five players earning All-Big Ten honors.
The Washington Huskies faced a challenging 2024 season after transitioning to the Big Ten under new head coach Jedd Fisch. Despite losing 15 players to the NFL, the team ended with a 6-6 record. The Huskies' performance was bolstered by key players who earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mentions. Leading the standout performances was sophomore wide receiver Denzel Boston, who excelled with nine touchdowns. Among the seniors who received recognition were tight end Keleki Latu, linebacker Alphonzo Tuputala, defensive tackle Sebastian Valdez, and cornerback Thaddeus Dixon. Latu demonstrated his prowess in the wake of numerous injuries at his position with 36 catches, while Tuputala contributed significantly on defense with 76 tackles. Valdez was instrumental in strengthening the defensive line, and Dixon excelled in his coverage abilities. These athletes not only shined on the field but also played pivotal roles in the team's adaptation to a new conference and coaching style.
