The LSU Tigers achieved a pivotal victory on signing day with the successful flip of five-star offensive tackle Solomon Thomas from Florida State. Ranked No. 13 in the 2025 ESPN 300 and third among offensive tackles, Thomas initially committed to the Seminoles in December 2023. However, as the early signing period neared, Thomas explored other options with visits to Florida and LSU in late November, ultimately committing to LSU under head coach Brian Kelly. Florida State managed to secure some signings but faced significant challenges, notably Thomas’ departure, marking their tenth decommitment since the start of the season, severely impacting their 2025 recruiting class. Meanwhile, LSU’s acquisition of Thomas bolsters an offensive line class fortified by other top-ranked recruits, adding depth and talent to the Tigers’ roster, which also includes top athlete D.J. Pickett and No. 1 running back Harlem Berry.
