TLDR: Ole Miss pulled off an impressive upset against No. 2 Georgia, dominating in a 28-10 victory. Jaxson Dart connected with Antwane Wells Jr. for a touchdown, and Caden Davis delivered five field goals to add to the total. Mississippi’s defense was relentless, sacking Georgia’s quarterback five times and forcing multiple fumbles. Ulysses Bentley’s early touchdown run set the tone. While Georgia scored early, they struggled to maintain momentum against the Rebel’s passionate defense. Austin Simmons stepped up when needed, leading to another touchdown drive. It’s a game that will be remembered by Ole Miss fans, showcasing their strength as they climb the ranks.
Boy, oh boy, them Ole Miss Rebels sure gave the Georgia Bulldogs a good ol’ fashioned whoopin’ this past Saturday! With all the rain a-comin’ down, Mississippi came out and put the hammer down, bringing home a 28-10 victory over those Bulldogs. Jaxson Dart was as smooth as butter throwin’ that 10-yard touchdown to Antwane Wells Jr. in the third quarter. Coupled with the strong-legged Caden Davis, who booted five field goals, it sure was a sight to see Mississippi earn its eighth win of the season!
Now, you gotta talk about Coach Lane Kiffin. He was as proud as a rooster in a henhouse! “We’ve really played well over the past two games,” he said. That team really socked it to Arkansas, and a dominant win over Georgia just cranks it up. That there student section sure showed their joy, stormin’ the field in pure Southern jubilation.
Georgia put up a fight early on, with Nate Frazier rushin’ for a 2-yard touchdown. But after that, the Bulldogs just couldn’t keep up with the Mississippi storm. Ole Miss’s defense was on fire, recordin’ five sacks and keepin’ those fumbles comin’. They had ole Carson Beck runnin’ for his life! Jared Ivey and Princely Umanimielen were beasts on the field with two sacks apiece.
And then there’s that line by Dart, who said, “Absolutely we’re peaking and I think everybody sees that.” Heck, there’s no doubt about it. Dart finished them off with an impressive 199 yards passin’ and even added some good yardage on the ground himself. Meanwhile, Austin Simmons stepped in mighty fine to help propel Ole Miss into that end zone once more.
Georgia’s leaders on the field gave it their all. Coach Kirby Smart was mighty complimentary, acknowledgin’ Mississippi’s talent, despite the challenge his boys faced. Georgia has some big games comin’ up, and they better be ready to shake things up! But, for now, I reckon folks down in Mississippi are enjoyin’ a well-earned celebration.
