The Washington Huskies, guided by Will Rogers’ impressive 261 passing yards and four touchdowns, overcame a sluggish start to achieve a 30-9 victory against Eastern Michigan. Despite not scoring in the first quarter for the second time this season, Rogers electrified the second quarter with three touchdown passes, including two to standout Denzel Boston. His performance marked Washington's powerful return to form under new coach Jedd Fisch. Defensively, Washington shined by maintaining control and contributing to a total of seven sacks throughout the game. Eastern Michigan's Jesus Gomez notably scored three long field goals, recording a personal best.
